What does your business need to be successful?

STAY TUNED FOR DETAILS FOR THE 2015 WE MEAN BUSINESS EXPO!

The We Mean Business expo gave local businesses the opportunity to speak face-to-face with industry leaders, to get expert advice on how to successfully grow their business.

Entrepreneurs and small business owners had the unique opportunity to sit down face-to-face with government officials who regulate businesses here in the state of Rhode Island, to get expert guidance. Business owners received FREE advice on critical business topics, including licensing, permitting, financing, marketing, social media, and other business-related matters.

Last year, the "Smart Start" room, a popular attraction of the We Mean Business expo, was available to the public. The "Smart Start" room had attorneys and accountants on-hand to speak with businesses and entrepreneurs interested in learning more about how to properly manage and grow their business. The "Smart Start" clinic is perfect for new business owners looking to learn more about filings, patents, trademarks, tax documentation and Federal Identification Numbers.

Among the state agencies that participated in last year's expo are the Rhode Island Contractors Board, Department of Transportation, and the Department of Labor and Training. There was also a variety of workshops offered, including a "Linkedin for Business" workshop by Gil Lantini of the Rhode Island Small Business Journal.
